While achieving this look requires a combination of factors, including diet and overall body fat percentage, it’s important to also target your abs with specific exercises. Here are some of the top exercises to help you get shredded abs.

Crunches: Crunches are a classic exercise that target the rectus abdominis, or the “six-pack” muscle. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Place your hands behind your head and lift your shoulders off the ground, contracting your abs. Lower back down and repeat for several reps.

Plank: The plank is an isometric exercise that targets the core, including the abs. Start in a push-up position, with your arms extended and your body in a straight line from head to heels. Hold for as long as you can, keeping your core tight and your hips level.

Bicycle Crunches: Bicycle crunches target both the rectus abdominis and the obliques, or the muscles on the sides of your abs. Lie on your back with your hands behind your head and your knees bent. Lift your shoulders off the ground and bring your right elbow to your left knee, while straightening your right leg. Repeat on the other side, cycling your legs and elbows.

Russian Twists: Russian twists target the obliques and can be done with or without weight. Sit on the ground with your knees bent and your feet flat on the ground. Lean back slightly and hold a weight (such as a dumbbell or medicine ball) in front of your chest. Twist to one side, bringing the weight to the ground next to your hip. Twist to the other side and repeat for several reps.

Hanging Leg Raises: Hanging leg raises target the lower abs and can be done with a pull-up bar or suspension straps. Hang from the bar or straps and lift your legs up towards your chest, keeping them straight. Lower them back down and repeat for several reps.

Incorporating these exercises into your workout routine can help you achieve a shredded six-pack. However, it’s important to remember that abs are made in the kitchen as well. A balanced diet and overall body fat reduction are also important factors in achieving visible abs.
